It also helped that my wife reminded me that, even though I may work on my two other projects (other than the book) in that time (though primarily the book), it’s still writing and doing the work of writing. Working towards remembering that on a reflexive level.

It may have taken 10 years, but I might have learned my lesson and accepted that all creative work must be done in the mornings (pre-run) because, in spite of my best efforts, I am barely functional after lunch. And that’s being charitable.
